Audrey Johns from “Lose Weight By Eating” is the one that came up with the recipe in 2012. Since then, detox water has taken over the world. The apples and cinnamon in the recipe make it feel like autumn any day of the year.
For this detox recipe, you’ll need:
- 1 apple;
- 1 cinnamon stick.
Cut the apple in thin slices, and cut away the seeds. Put them in a pitcher, and top with water. Do not use powdered cinnamon as it clogs the water.
2. Slim Down Detox Recipe
As mentioned at the beginning, any combination of fruits and vegetables will work for your detox water. So, why not go for the green?
The combination of lemons and cucumber works great. The tartness of the lemons is a perfect balance to the taste of cucumbers. For this recipe, you’ll need:
- ½ lemon, sliced;
- ½ lime, sliced;
- ½ grapefruit, sliced;
- 1 cup cucumber, sliced.
3. Blueberry Detox Water
Blueberry contains more antioxidants than any other fruit on the market. The recipe makes the water taste delicious, and provides your body with a healthy dose of vitamin C. All of that increases your metabolism and helps you burn more fat.

- 2 mandarin oranges;

4. Watermelon Mint Detox Water

This recipe combines some of the best fruits, raspberries, and oranges. Both are delicious, and both are loaded with vitamin C. As a result, the drink fights off inflammation, and helps with premature aging.
