The Information We Collect
There are two types of information we collect when it comes to Users. These are:
Personal Identification Information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to:
- when Users visit our site,
- register on the site,
- subscribe to the newsletter,
- comment on the site,
- and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site.
Users may be asked for name and/or email address when they sign up for our email newsletter, or when they leave a comment.

The only personal identification information collected from Users on www.fitneass.com is IP, email, and name.
We NEVER ask for credit cards, physical address or any other information that can identify you.
Web Browser Cookies
Our Site uses “cookies” to enhance User experience.
User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them.
If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.
If Users leave comments on our Site they may opt-in to saving their name, email address and website in cookies. These are for Users’ convenience so that they do not have to fill in their details again when they leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If a User has an account and he logs in to this Site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if his browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when he closes his browser.

If Users edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in their browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article User just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Without cookies, our Site can’t function properly, and your access is heavily affected.

Fitneass may collect and use Users’ personal information for the following purposes:

Here are the third party websites that can collect your information, on our behalf, when you access our website www.fitneass.com:
1. Google AdSense
All of the ads on this Site are served by Google AdSense.
Google is using cookies to serve ads to Users based on their visit to our Site and other sites on the Internet.
These cookies gather “non-personal identifiable information” and does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, etc.

2. Google Analytics
When someone visits www.fitneass.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.
We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.
This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.
We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
User data collected from www.fitneass.com through Google Analytics is retained for 26 months.
As part of the registration process for our weekly, monthly, or product recommendations e-newsletter, we collect personal information.
We use that information for a couple of reasons:
- to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about;
- to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information;
- to check our records are right;
- to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.
We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us at mark_norey (at) fitneass (dot) com.
We use PushEngage to collect your personal information to send you a notification every time we update the content on www.fitneass.com.
When Users subscribe to web push notifications on www.fitneass.com, PushEngage gather the following information from them:
- device ID or device token for web push subscription;
- Web browser type and version (automatically collected);
- Optional – city, state and country of the place of access, if this information is available and enabled by the controller;
- Optional: any other extra information like product browsed, categories of product, user preferences, on the website of the controller, if configured by controller; and
- Optional: any segmentation or extra information passed by the controller for personalizing notification.
All personal data is stored securely. We use this data to provide the best possible products and services to Users.
5. Gravatar And Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
6. Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos from YouTube, images from Instagram, articles from other websites, etc.).
Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Your information is collected by different reputable companies in our behalf.
All these companies are also taking care of your privacy and securely store your personal information.
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.
All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our Site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
