Back extension is a widely used fitness move because everyone wants a perfect posture. This exercise is applied not only by fitness trainers, but also by specialists in medicine.
The easiest way to achieve a perfect posture is by practicing back extensions on a regular basis. This move also helps you get rid of back pain and straightens your round back.
You will find this move really helpful if you sit a lot during the day. So if you’re working in an office, or if your job demands you to sit in a chair, do a few back extensions in the evening to improve your posture.
I even did this exercise right before writing this article. And will do it again on a daily basis (every night, right before going to sleep)!
How To Get A Perfect Posture
Here’s how to perform this simple but effective exercise for a perfect posture:
1⃣ Lie down on your stomach and put your forehead on a yoga mat. Put your arms parallel to your body and press your palms against your thighs. Straighten your elbows. Put your legs together, and your toes should be slightly drawn.
2⃣ Exhale. Lift your head, chest and the top part of your stomach while keeping your arms and legs in place.
3⃣ Inhale. Slowly go back to the original position.
4⃣ Repeat the exercise 10 times. Get up and relax for 1-2 minutes, then repeat the entire process. Two or three sets would be enough.
Do this workout at least 3 times a week for best results. And trust me, you’ll see big improvements in your back, glutes, and abdominal muscles.
This 5-minute workout will also positively affect internal organ functions, and you will feel much better overall.
For a perfect posture, don’t skip your back extensions!
