Baseball Can Easily Help You Lose Weight And Get In Shape

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, but it also makes him a fat boy too! In our modern world of calories and trans-fats, exercise is essential if one is to keep fit and healthy!

It’s not enough to have good and healthy things going into your body! You have to find a way to burn off those extra calories that are accrued in anyone’s diet. But what do you do?

It’s hard to know what sport is right for you when it comes to exercising. You’re not tall enough to shoot hoops, and American Football isn’t an easy game to pick up and play.

What is a game that gives you an adequate amount of exercise, but is also fun to pick up and play? Well here is your answer, BASEBALL!

Baseball For Weight Loss

Baseball is a great team game that can keep you active and entertained in equal measure!

Here are a few reasons to choose baseball when trying to get in shape:

1. Doesn’t Require Special Or Expensive Equipment

Though you may see Patriots players on the television looking very suave and official in their outfits, you don’t have to get a load of patriot hats to play. A normal hat, or no hat at all will do fine!

You don’t even need that, all you need is a bat, ball and a few friends! Mark out the bases somehow and pick your teams!

2. Increases Your Focus

You’ll find that baseball is a great sport through which to exercise, as you and your friends can play it as relaxed or as intensely as you like! But it is a game of focus and of quick bursts of energy!

3. Keeps You Alert All The Time

You will have to go from standing, poised to hit the ball, to then running extremely quickly to your first base. If you don’t have that energy to make it to the base, then you will be out!

4. Is A Full Body Workout

Through playing Baseball, you will be able to do a range of different forms of exercise that will help you on your path to getting a bit fitter.

You will do some cardiovascular exercise when running from base to base or when running to catch the ball to get the batter out, a bit of muscle training as you swing to hit the ball, and lots of hand-eye coordination as you focus on catching the other players out.

5. You Can Play It Anytime

So get yourself out there, pick a nice sunny day, call up some of your friends that are willing to have a little run around and get out there! It can be as easy-going or as intense as you like.

Before you know it, you’ll get wrapped up in the inherent competitiveness, and be burning calories without even realising you’re doing it!
