Humus – I must admit , I’m a little disappointed. Humus is one of my favorite foods , and now I find that it is not advisable to drink it at work because it contains tryptophan, the amino acid that is essential for relaxation. So if you need a good and relaxing sleep , eat some hummus – delicious and effective!
Bananas – the content of magnesium and potassium in bananas serves as a natural relaxant for muscle and brain. Also, vitamin B6 in the fruit turns tryptophan into serotonin , increasing even more the relaxation and thus inducing your sleep .
Soy – Soy get tofu , soy milk and soy sauce and soy beans can be used in preparing burgers, being a rich source of protein for vegetarians. Soybeans , however, should be avoided before bedtime because, due to its orexin , can cause you sleepless nights.
