Today I want to share with you 3 super quick, but super effective ways to get rid of soreness. Because let’s face it, if you’re working out hard, which hopefully you are, you’re gonna be sore. I’m gonna freely admit there’s been plenty of days when I’m sore.
You wake up and just feel lethargic and terrible and you don’t know what to do. You’re like “I don’t feel like working out today” and you sit on the couch all day. Well, it doesn’t have to be like this, because you can get rid of soreness a lot faster if you follow my tips.
How To Get Rid Of Soreness
So these are my 3 tips to get rid of the soreness right away:
1. Drink Plenty Of Water
This may seem like common sense, but far too many people do not drink near enough water. You wanna be drinking close to half your bodyweight in fluid ounces each day to stay hydrated. When you are sore, drinking plenty of water will help your body to flush out that lactic acid and you’re gonna feel a lot better .
You want to start up with some dynamic stretches and then going to static stretches from there. So dynamic for a few minutes or so and then static afterwards for 30 seconds or maybe a minute, depending on how sore you are.
Just make sure you’re stretching before and after your workout.
3. Stay Active
This might be the most important tip to get rid of soreness. You may be tempted to sit on the couch all day when you’re sore, but it’s really important to stay active because the more you move, the more lactic acid you’re gonna flush out of your system. This means you’re gonna get over that soreness and you’re gonna be right back ready to work out again more quicker, still making that progress.
