1. Brush Your Teeth
Brush your teeth at a 45-degree angle as that will clean them better all the time. The toothbrush has to be in contact with your gums too, not just with the teeth.
Also, avoid adding too much pressure on your teeth because the enamel can be affected. This can also be the negative effect of long brushing times.
Don’t use too much toothpaste either, a small bulb will be more than okay. Simplicity is key here, and if you do it right, it will be a great experience.
You don’t need an electric toothbrush or some fancy-colored toothpaste. Just a regular toothbrush and toothpaste will work as long as you do it right.
2. Shift Towards A Teeth-Friendly Diet
Some foods are good on your teeth, while others just aren’t. Keep your teeth healthy by consuming crunchy, high-fiber foods such as celery, apples, and carrots. They will clean your teeth from plaque.
In order to strengthen your teeth, you must consume calcium-rich foods, such as yogurt, milk, cheese, and other dairy products.

Every day small pieces of food find their way in between your teeth. And teeth brushing alone can’t remove them every single time.
But flossing allows you to eliminate unwanted residue that gets stuck in between your teeth. You should floss your teeth at least one time a day, before going to bed.
Similar to brushing your teeth regularly, flossing them should also be part of your morning and evening routine.
4. Drink Less Alcohol And Soda
Alcoholic, caffeinated, and soda drinks are all good and delicious and most of us drink at least one of them on a regular basis.
What we don’t realize (or don’t want to realize) is that they can easily damage our teeth really quickly. Smoking has the same consequences when it comes to teeth health.
Now, I’m not saying you should quit them all, even though you should, but at least try to reduce them in the first place. Step by step, reduce one habit at a time.

5. Do A Fluoride Treatment Before You Sleep
This includes brushing your teeth with fluoridated toothpaste or rinsing your mouth with fluoridated mouthwash.
Make sure you do one of these things (if not both) every night before going to sleep. This way you’ll restore the fluoride removed from your teeth enamel by the acidic foods you’ve consumed during the day.
A fluoride treatment is also beneficial for those with dry mouth, gum diseases, frequent cavities, and those with teeth braces or crowns.
As you can see, all it takes to maintain good oral hygiene is to brush your teeth and rinse them with fluoridated water regularly, floss them, eat healthy foods, and avoid teeth-damaging drinks and foods. It’s not that complicated, isn’t it?!
