Top Three Tried And Tested Foods For Natural Pain Relief

I want to talk to you today about all natural pain relief. I get asked a lot by people that have pain, you know…”What do you do for your pain?”

Well, I know a lot about pain because I am an athlete and I’ve been running nearly my whole life.

I also have problems with my Achilles that flare up from time to time depending on how much I’m working out.

A couple of years ago, when I was training for my marathons, I was looking for a way to control my pain without having to take over the counter medications. You see, I don’t like to take them for the simple reason that they’re toxic to your system.

After dozens of attempts, I stuck to these 3 foods that really helped me to release my pain.

Natural Pain Relief Foods

These three remedies will help you relieve pain naturally.

Top 3 Natural Pain Relief Foods

So here are my top three favorites foods for natural pain relief:

1. White Willow Bark

White willow bark is a natural herbal pain reliever. It contains salicin, which is one of the ingredients found in aspirin, the synthetic aspirin.

So it works really well, and you can get it in the health food store. Take like two to three capsules depending on your level of pain, and you can see it working for you.

2. Oil Of Oregano

I actually just discovered this recently and I really like it. Oil of oregano is a capsule which you can take to relieve pain.

You can take like one to two capsules, or you can rub the oil on the skin where your pain is.

You can mix the oil with another agent like olive oil and then rub those two onto your skin. It works pretty well for pain relief.

Now with oil of oregano, some believe it’s as powerful as morphine in reducing your pain. So you can try that and see if that works for you.

3. Turmeric

My favorite food for natural pain relief that worked for me the best is turmeric, the orange spice that you see in a lot of Indian foods.

The main component of turmeric is curcumin, and that is what has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

You can buy turmeric in capsules in the health food store.

My Simple Turmeric Recipe For Pain Relief

What works the best for me (the equivalent of taking three ibuprofen) is taking one heaping teaspoon of turmeric mixed with a small amount of water.

It’s gross. I mean, it’s not super tasty. But you have to stir it up really good and you get like this mustard colored thick liquid. And you just drink it. DONE!

It tastes kind of gritty and kind of sandy, but that’s all it takes and your done! Like one second.

And you’ll find, within 20 minutes, the pain relief from this turmeric recipe is superior to any pain reliever you’ll ever try.

I’ve used all three of these foods for natural pain relief: the white willow, the oil of oregano and the turmeric. And turmeric is my favorite one.

So try these foods for natural pain relief and see what works for you. Because what worked for me might not work for you, and vice-versa.
